The holiday house is a U-shaped holiday farm with a view of Diksmuide. It is quietly situated in Westhoek, where you can enjoy peacefulness and nature, with ample privacy and a 5-hectare site with lawns and trees, accessed along a 300-metre-long private access road.
There are two buildings next to each other. The first part has four bedrooms, the second has five bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a washbasin and shower. A maximum of 24 people can be accommodated. There are also two children’s beds with bed linen that can be added to the spacious bedrooms. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment. The dining room can seat 24 people and has a fireplace (free firewood). There is a sitting corner with a view of the rural surroundings with a well-stocked bookshelf and many board games. There is an entrance halls and there are toilets downstairs and upstairs.
Outside there is a large interior courtyard with wide terraces and lawns. There are further sun terraces to the rear and front side. Plenty of garden furniture is available. There is a roofed little grill hut 6 x 4 metres. All around there are 5 hectares of lawn for strolling, playing football etc. There is also a relaxation room (100m²) with a bar counter, table tennis, table football, as well as a kitchen with a large fridge, two hobs, two dishwashers and crockery.
Children’s toys are available, as well as children’s bicycles for 1-15 years all (to ride around the farm). Adult bicycles can be hired 1km away at Fietsen Catrysse.
This farm has been in existence since 1700 and has been through a lot. It was completely bombarded in the First World War and was rebuilt according to the original old plans. In recent years, it has been fully renovated and set up as a holiday farm.
There are various excellent cycle routes in the area. It is 3km to Diksmuide, 1km to shops, 14km to the sea, 16km to the Plopsaland leisure park (De Panne) and Bellwaerde (Ieper), 20km to Oostende and Ieper, 40km to Brugge, 30km to Dunkirk in northern France.
