A charming Home with 1Bedroom, 1Living room, 1Bath, Kitchenette, Sleeps 2+2 kids.
LOCATION :
The property, two Restored Stone Homes of an old farmer Hamlet, is surrounded from a forest area, a quiet unspoiled landscape.
It offers a unique view on the garden, the peaks of mount Parnon and the nearby village Amygdalia.
It is placed between the beaches and the mountain villages of Leonidio at a distance of 18km from Mount Parnon and Leonidio city, on the way to Kyparissi.
The near beaches of Fokianos and Poulithra are at 15-minute drive away (12km).
The high mountains touch the sea creating picturesque beaches.
There is a cool and dry atmosphere, pleasant to the summer nights.
FEATURES:
An Entire one-bedroom holiday Home of 45m2 open out to a large veranda and large garden area.
It features a separate BEDROOM with double bed. In the living room there are two single sofa-beds proper for two kids.
The BATHROOMM is fitted with a shower and hairdryer. Towels and bed linen are available.
Guests benefit from a charming LIVING ROOM with sitting and dining place and KITCHENETTE fitted with a fridge, stovetop, kettle and coffee machine.
The unite is heated, a flat-screen TV-Sat and free WiFi is avaiable.
A free private covered Parking and a Barbeque area with outdoor dining place
and a large veranda are available on site.
The House is ideal for relaxing vacations, swimming, diving, fishing, climbing, hiking
and as base for exploring Peloponnese.
For one couple or for a family with one or two children.
It is suitable also for long-term rentals (Private parking place, pleasant living room, Kitchenette, outdoor eating place).
LANDSCAPE AND VEGETATION
The area is located between Leonidion, three small villages, the near beaches and the mountain peaks.
A forest area is around the property, covered with maple trees, oak, wild pistachio, almond trees, shrubs and aromatic plants such as oregano and thyme.
There are no farmer activities, there are not greenhouses, vegetable crops, fruit trees or olive trees cultivations, it is a unspoiled nuture.
THE CLIMATE AND THE ALTITUDE
-The altitude is 650m from the sea level.
-The temperature is 3 to 4 degrees lower than Leonidion and beaches during the day and 6 degrees lower during the night, without the moisture of the coastal areas and of the city.
The Climate here is pleasant cool and dry.
A quality drinking water it is coming from Mount Parnon.
There is a cool and dry atmosphere, pleasant to the summer nights.
-MORPHOLOGICAL CARACTERISTICS
Today after a recent restoration, the houses retain the main morphological
characteristics, the stone walls, the fireplace, the typical local Arcadian style.
The three restored Holiday Houses are forming a small Hamlet within a large garden
area of 10.000qm.
They offer a unique view on the garden, the peaks of mount Parnon and the nearby
village Amygdalia.

LEONIDIO AND THE NEAR VILLAGES
Three small villages Peleta, Pigadi and Amygdalia can be found all around, one beside the other at a distance of 1 to 3 km from the property.
Guests can visit them by car, bike or foot.
A grocery store, traditional restaurants and traditional Greek coffee houses can be found there.
Additional facilities as Supermarkets, Pharmacy, Bank, Medical center, shops and restaurants you can find in Leonidio, the small picturesque town at the foot of mount Parnon at a distance of 18 km.
-WALKS - HIKING
Some suggestions from our visitor :
…..I've been looking at our diary and at maps, in order to suggest some walks that visitors could do from your cottages;
the best map is the Anavasi 8.7 Mt Parnon, with a scale of 1:50,000 described as a "hiking map"
However, there are now an increasing number of walks on WikiLoc and other websites. The walks we enjoyed from Amygdalia were the one above Vlisidia (Neochori) it continues to Kosmas and the one in the Sunflower Southern Peloponnese book (now sadly out of print) from Pigadhi down to Poulithra via Longari. In the past we've walked from Kremasti to Kyparissi (in two halves!)--this is on an adjoining map published by Anavasi online but not in printed form. Other walks, marked on maps but which we didn't try because of the hot/rainy weather, are from Pera Melana to Leonidio, from Poulithra to Phokianos and from Pyrgoudhi to Poulithra. None of the walks is waymarked (the only waymarked paths on Parnon are around Polydrosso).
