Holiday home with a sun terrace, stunning view and its own pool
Caminha is located in northern Portugal, about 95 km north of Porto, at the mouth of the Rio Minho, which is also the border with northern Spain. The holiday home is located in a quiet area, 3 mins from the core of the city, in a first-class location on a 3500 m² plot and surrounded by well-kept gardens, which guests are also welcome to use.
The property has a spacious living-dining room with an integrated kitchen, which is optically separated from the living room, one double bedroom and one two-bed room (second pull-out bed), bathroom / WC and satellite TV. For a deposit, there is also the possibility to obtain a mobile WLAN Internet modem with prepaid card function which you can top up yourself. The house is furnished with lovely, traditional details , such as hand-painted Portuguese tiles.
The basement, which was enlarged and cosily furnished in 2009, can be optionally rented as well. It also has two beds and a bathroom with shower, as well as an outside seating area and its own entrance. Bed linen and toweling, as well as pool towels, a sunshade and wind break for the beach are provided. The living room can be heated with a cast iron stove, while the bedrooms are heated with electric radiators. Facilities also include a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, espresso machine, and the possibility to grill/ barbecue.
The sun terrace invites you to relax, is directly accessible from the living room and offers a magnificent view of the Rio Minho, the Rio Coura and neighbouring Galicia. The terrace is furnished with a table, four armchairs, sunshades and deckchairs. In front of the house, a well-maintained swimming pool (9 x 4.5 m / 90 cm to 2.2 m deep) also awaits you. The facility also features a car parking space.
The holiday home is located in a very quiet area, yet is only about 1 km from the historic centre of Caminha (various shopping possibilities, supermarkets, cake shops, coffee houses, restaurants, bars, attractions, ...) and approximately 2 km from the mouth of the Rio Minho / river beach on the Atlantic coast. The seaside resort of Moledo do Minho (wide, fine sandy beach and certified water quality) is about 2 km away - a paradise for windsurfers, body boarders, kite surfers. Tennis courts and golf courses in the vicinity, round off the wide range of sports. Attractions: city of Porto UNESCO World Heritage site is 1 hr away, Viana do Castelo, Braga, Guimaraes, European Capital of Culture 2012, and much more.
