ELK LODGE holiday house in an elk area with a lake
Our completely newly refurbished elk lodge is situated in northern Sweden, about 100km to the south of the Arctic circle. It is a typical Swedish house and is amidst a highly frequented elk region in the little village Grundträsk, with few neighbours and in a fabulous landscape. The elks will greet you through the window. The house is on a side street of the 95 in the direction of Skelleftea, so it is easily accessible also in winter. In winter you can watch the northern lights right from the window, as the house is away from major town lighting.
The 70m² house on one floor comprises a hallway, kitchen, living room and bedroom, as well as a modern bathroom. The lodge has been completely newly renovated. It is a non-smoking house and is set up for self-catering.
The house is on a four-hectare site characterised by forest, meadow and swamp. It is home to elk, reindeer and many types of birds. Two cameras show us the activities. You can watch the animals of the old forests of Sweden from the house or in our elk hut with a fireplace. It will be an unforgettable experience for you. The grill area outdoors will ensure romantic evenings in summer and in winter.
The nearest larger locality is Abborrträsk about 5km away (5 minutes by car), with a shop with a post office and petrol station, a heated outdoor pool in summer and a cultural house that also has a sauna and fitness room. It is about 20 minutes to Arvidsjaur and 30 minutes to the Arvidsjaur airport.
