The holiday house is on a slope in the midst of a forested site rich in mushrooms and berries, right by the lake. It is near Porvoo, about half an hour’s drive from Helsinki.
It measures 65m², is comfortably furnished and has two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed (160 x 200cm), the other has two single beds (80 x 200cm). A supplementary single bed (80 x 200cm) can be provided, if requested in advance. You can sit cosily in front of the warm fireplace in the living room on cold winter days and gaze out at nature through the window. The kitchen provides a stove and an oven, for cooking and baking. The fridge also has a freezer, so groceries can be stored optimally during your stay. A dishwasher takes over the rest of the work after cooking, so you can dine and relax. A coffee machine and kettle facilitate breakfast. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin, WC and hairdryer. All the rooms have heating.
You can admire fabulous sunsets and enjoy a relaxing glass of wine on the big veranda with garden furniture. There is also a grill for preparing meals. You can arrive by car, as two parking spaces are provided.
You can spend pleasant hours in a rowing boat on the flat Lake Eriksdahl on sunny days. The lake is also ideal for fishing, with bass and pike. You also have your own boat mooring and jetty. The water landscape is a sanctuary for many types of birds. If the weather is rainy and cool, then you can relax in the sauna. A cot is available and can be used free of charge, but must be booked in advance. The owner’s washing machine is available for use. He lives on site about a kilometre from the holiday house. Internet access is not available, but you can purchase a prepaid card in Porvoo or use the wireless Internet connection in libraries in Porvoo free of charge.
The second oldest town in Finland, the charming Porvoo with a well-preserved historical centre, is easy to get to. Porvoo exudes a unique atmosphere. It has little medieval wooden houses, idyllic gardens, many little boutiques, galleries and cosy cafés, as well as restaurants. The romantic little town has always attracted many artists. The Finnish capital can be accessed easily by public transport, with regular buses, as well as steam boats in summer. The nearest grocery shop is about 10km away.
