Beachfront Villa with green gardens in Kefalonia
This beachfront villa sits right on Kounopetra beach in a quiet area close to a not often used road that leads to Mantzavinata village near the town of Lixouri in Kefalonia island.
It is a two story house with a very spacious ground floor(50 m²) that includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and dining area. The large windows facing the sea lead to a big patio allowing guests to dine outside and enjoy the garden. Interior stairs lead to the first floor. There, two double bedrooms (25 m² each), with en suite bathrooms, offer a very convenient stay. Both rooms have access to a large balcony where guests can enjoy a stunning view of the sea including the islands of Vardianni and Zante. The stairs also lead to the third lower ground double room (50m²) which includes an external separate entrance as well. The room includes a double bed, a sofa bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. Teenagers are particularly fond of it for the sense of independence they feel during their family holidays. The villa was built in 2005 and is in excellent condition.
The patio is equipped with a large dining table and chairs. The terrace is equipped with garden furniture including sunshades and sunbeds. The back garden has several high trees offering rich shadows with hammocks to rest. The front garden has a vast lawn viewing the sea.
Please note that the villa can only be reached by vehicle. Access to the beach is through a small wooden staircase (5 steps).
The property offers direct access to the safest beach in Kefalonia. The beach is made up of a soft, red sand that slopes very gently and the water remains shallow (knee level) for about 20 m from the shore. The cape offers very calm and safe waters making it ideal for children. The surrounding area has so few lights that you can see thousands of stars on every night sky. A great variety of small fish and birds pass through the area providing a very diverse environment. All the villas look to the south-east with an amazing view of the sea including the uninhabited isle of Vardiani, the island of Zante, and Mt Aenos. A small tavern is located just 30 m. to the west of the property, cooking traditional Kefalonian dishes using only home grown vegetables and local fish. Home deliveries are also possible.
