The detached house from the 18th century enjoys a fantastic location right by the lake, on a forest clearing, in Bosebo by Lake Majsjön.

The holiday house for six people was renovated in 2013, paying attention to preserving its typical Swedish charm. It has three bedrooms on the second floor, with a double bed and two single beds. The stairs to the upper floor are steep. The living room on the ground floor also has a sofa bed for two people. The living and dining room with a view of the lake also provides a TV and a fireplace. The kitchen unit is fully-equipped with a stove, oven, fridge and freezer, coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower and a toilet. A washing machine and wireless Internet access are available.

From the terrace with garden furniture you can enjoy the view of the landscape and of the lake. A winding path leads down to the lake, with a private boat jetty and an excellent fishing spot. You can park right by the house. A small dog is allowed on request.

A rowing boat is included. Electric engine for boat is available (see additional costs) and must be booked in advance. A washing machine is available on request. It's situated in another building nearby.

The next largest town Gislaved 10km away has a range of shops and restaurants. Lake Majsjön offers many places to go fishing in the bays and there are many little islands to explore. The lakes system can be navigated by canoe.

    “Ein uriges Haus, Stille und Natur. Das Grundstück liegt mitten in einem Naturschutzgebiet am See "Majsjön", in dem wohl Fische sein sollen (wir hatten kein Glück, zu kalt). Zum Haus gehört ein Ruderboot, am hauseigenen Steg festgemacht. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich eine Feuerstelle. Das Haus selbst erhielt kurz vor unserem Eintreffen eine neue Terrasse. Das Innere unserer Unterkunft war rustikal gehalten: Holzdielenboden in allen Räumen, in der Küche neben den Elektrogeräten ein mit Holz zu betreibender Herd aus Großmutters-Zeiten. Die Ausstattung der Küche war zweckmäßig und, abgesehen von unwesentlichen Dingen, für die vorgesehene Personenzahl gut bestückt. Im Haus gibt es hinter der Eingangstür einen Raum mit Tisch und 4 Stühlen. Hier kann man bequem die Mahlzeiten zu sich nehmen. Das Wohnzimmer in typischer Schweden-Optik eingerichtet. Ein Kamin ist vorhanden, zum Glück für uns. Die Woche war seeehr kalt, inkl. Schnee. Vom Wohnzimmer geht’s in das Badezimmer, der jüngst errichtete Bau ab Haus. Neu und groß, Dusche, Toilette, Fußbodenheizung.
    Und dann die Schlafzimmer: sportlich sollte man schon die steile Treppe nehmen, um in die obere Etage zu gelangen. Hier erwartet den Gast die Möglichkeit von 4 Schlafplätzen. Auf Schränke wurde weitestgehend verzichtet, eine Kleiderstange nimmt die Bügel mit Sachen auf. Wer sich oben im Schlafzimmer bewegt, ist im Zimmer darunter unüberhörbar - die Holzdielung meldet zuverlässig, sobald jemand das Bett verlässt.

    Unser Problem waren bei Anreise die Heizungen. Es sind Elektroheizungen in allen Räumen - bei unserer Ankunft kalt. Selbst intensive Versuche, Wärme zu erhalten, wurden ohne Erfolg beendet. Letztendlich musste der Eigentümer helfen. Die Heizungen sind über WLAN steuerbar, der Vermieter richtete dann alles so ein, dass es warm wurde. Das WLAN war sehr gut auf all unseren Geräten zu empfangen. Ein Holzkohlegrill fehlte auch nicht. Bis zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit waren es wenige Kilometer.
    Fazit: Wer in Schweden Urlaub bucht, soll auch Schweden erleben. Das Grundstück ist ein guter Anfang. Ein wackeliger Tisch/ Stuhl gehört ebenso dazu, wie der fehlende Eierbecher oder eine angeschlagene Tasse. Uns hat's gefallen, das nächste Mal nehmen wir den Frühling mit in den Urlaub.
