Schönwald is the birthplace of the cuckoo clock. The beautiful landscape of the Black Forest is making Schönwald a perfect holiday resort - the extra ordinary climate - especially the healthy air - is well known. Schönwald lays in-between 950 and 1100 meters hights on a high plateau. The nearby Triberger waterfalls and many sights and recreation facilities are making Schönwald and the Black Forest to diversified place. Schönwald offers a wide varieties of activities throughout the year in all four seasons. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, golf, skiing, cross country are some samples of activities you can choose. The well known cuisine of the region is offered in many restaurants, hotels, refreshment houses and at the local butcher store, the local bakery and shops. Schönwald offers all daily needs and the nearby towns of Furtwangen and Triberg are adding their offers. Villingen as the closest bigger city is has an beautiful pedestrian area with many shops and Freiburg is reachable within an our. Straßburg, Zurich, the Lake Constanze are within a two our range. The Europa Park, one of the worlds leading recreation parks with giant helterskelters and top amusements is an hours drive away. So you see - you won't get bored. Our house is offering 4 bedrooms with beds for 8 people, 2 full bathrooms, 1 guest wc, 1 modern, fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a great view into the valley, a wooden fired tiled stove and a balcony which surrounds the house. One master bedroom offers a bed 2,00 x 2,00 meter with two separate mattresses, the second master bedroom ( in the attic ) offers a bed of 1,80 x 2,00 m with also two separate mattresses and a sofa an armchair. The second bathroom with a whirlpool, a bathroom sound system, a shower, a washstand and a separate toilette is also in the attic. The third bedroom offers two single beds and the fourth bedroom offers one bed that can be enlarged to a double bed easily by keeping a high standard. This room also offers a writing desk. The fully equipped kitchen has a modern induction cooking field, an oven, dishwasher, freezer and a fridge. Since the owner family is using this house several times a year themselves for a vacation everything is available to cook or bake.
