This holiday cottage is perfect for enthusiasts of the great outdoors, eager to get away from the stress and traffic jams of everyday life. This cozy cottage sits in calm surroundings at an altitude of 260 metres. There is a whirlpool for 4 people by the cottage, where you can relax in the warm water. Cheap to run. Enjoy the view of fields and forests. There is plenty of space for children to play. Great hiking terrain and trails that will take you up to mountain lakes. You can also go fishing in the river nearby. It is approx. 3 km to the fjord. There is a 90 litre freezer in the kitchen. The charming interiors consists of a mixture of antiques and and newer furniture. Comfortable sofa bed in the living room. Free wifi for surfing, not for downloading and streaming. New kitchen from 2016. The double bed can be split into two beds. There is a lot of berries in the area. You can go hiking with a guide and horseback riding for children and adults is available in Åkra.

    “The house was not very clean when we arrived. The stove and the shower were dirty. The washing machine did not work. The floor in the sitting room was not clean. The fridge made a lot of noise. That made that we did not feel very welcome. The owner never visited us while he was working in the next house. It was a nice and quiet surrounding with cows and sheep around the house.     “Besser geht es nicht! Ein TOP-Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Natürlich sollte dem Mieter klar sein, dass er hier ein Ferienhaus am ADW mietet. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit für Lebensmittel ist etwas über 3 Km entfernt, richtig gut einkaufen lässt sich erst in Rosendal, ca 20-25 Km. Allerdings bedarf es durch die Enge der Straßen, nicht zu vergessen die reichlich vorhandenen Kurven und einen zu überquerenden Pass, etwas mehr Zeit, als man dies von Deutschland her gewöhnt sein dürfte. Wir waren da immer miondestens 45 Min. unterwegs.
    Wer sich aber nach Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit sehnt, dem Angeln und Wandern einiges abgewinnt, der ist hier goldrichtig aufgehoben. Sehr gut erreichbar ist für Wanderer die Hardangervidda. Odda erreicht man in etwas über einer Std. Fahrzeit, Kinsarvik in etwas über zwei Std. Bei Sundal (noch vor Odda) lassen sich auch geführte Gletscherwandertouren organisieren. Trittsicherheit und etwas Alpinerfahrung würde ich hier aber zwingend vorraussetzen. Bis zum Gletschersee allerdings wäre der Weg auch für Rollstuhlfahrer zu bewältigen.”
