Pleasant House in Rovinjsko Selo with Overflow Pool

This generous holiday villa combines the charm of traditional Istrian architecture with all the modern comforts you would need for a memorable holiday. The villa was built in 1886 and has been renovated in 2004 for modern living whilst still retaining much of its original rustic character. It enjoys a picturesque quiet setting in the small village of Rovinjsko Selo near the town of Rovinj on the western coast of Istria, an ideal place for a quiet holiday far away from the tourist crowds.Fully enclosed traditional Istrian stone villa with a private swimming pool, covered terrace with wood fired grill and children playground

From the living area you walk into the 400m² fully enclosed garden boasting the private swimming pool. The 24 m² overflow pool is comfortably accessed via circular stepping stones. It is surrounded by large wooden sun loungers and a sun shade. An outdoor shower and even an outdoor guest toilet provide additional convenience and comfort. Towards the back of the garden is a covered terrace with a large dining area furnished with a stone table, chairs and a bench. The traditional wood fired grill provides the perfect atmosphere for romantic outdoor dinners. The swimming pool is enclosed by a high old stone wall, separating it from the generous lawn area and making it a safe place for pets, who are very welcome, and small children to play on their own. Young and older children alike will appreciate the seesaw and slide. You have use of two secure private parking spaces just outside the premises.

The villa features 105 m² of living space spread over two floors and is equipped to comfortably accommodate up to seven persons. It offers a living-/dining area, kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest toilet. The ground floor hosts the living room with a large traditional stone fireplace giving it a rustic atmosphere. Exposed wooden beams on the ceiling add even more farmhouse character so here you can enjoy a true country living feeling. The living area is air conditioned (hot/cold) and furnished with a sofa and two matching large armchairs, satellite TV with USB port, a radio, CD player and even a Nintendo Wii game console. Adjacent to the dining area with a wooden table and chairs is the open plan fully equipped kitchen, complete with four hob gas cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer compartment, microwave, coffee machine and toaster. A wide winding stone staircase leads to the upper floor where you find the three bedrooms and the two bathrooms. All three bedrooms are furnished with 160cm x 200cm double beds and one has an additional 90cm x 200cm single bed. Both bathrooms are equipped with a shower, wash basin and toilet and in one of the two bathrooms you will also find a washing machine. Wireless internet access is available free of charge. A high chair for a baby is also available.

The village of Rovinjsko Selo is about 6km away from the city of Rovinj. It is not without reason that Rovinj is called the “blue pearl of the Adriatic”, it offers a great coastline with beautiful beaches, the famous old cathedral of St Euphemia, pretty medieval streets lined with cafes and restaurants and year-round cultural events and festivals. 500m away from your holiday villa you will find a supermarket where you can buy everything might need for a self-catering holiday. Limski kanal (Limm Channel), the 35km long valley of the river Pazincica where you can visit the caves and go rock climbing is also in close proximity.
