Westerdeichstrich/Büsum – the gateway to the world natural heritage tidal flats

You can enjoy the proximity to the North Sea spa town, as well as the peace and quiet of the charming village Westerdeichstrich right next to Büsum. Breathe the salty sea air either on the grassy section of beach almost on the doorstep or bury your toes in the sand at the family lagoon “Perlbucht” 3km away. You can find everything you need here for a relaxing and varied holiday. Enjoy the expanse of the green embankments, stroll through the pedestrian zone in Büsum or immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle at the harbour.

A ground-floor, two-room apartment with a maritime charm awaits you, completely renovated and newly furnished in June 2017. The brand new bathroom with its walk-in shower with a wellness function invites you to take some time out. The generous and light living room features light and friendly colours. It has a comfortable big sofa bed (140 x 200cm) for two guests. Many media devices such as a flat-screen TV, a modern compact music system and a DVD player provide entertainment, along with Wi-Fi access. Plenty of books are also available. The generous bench in the light dining corner welcomes you with a Frisian “moin” and also has two chairs, seating up to 5 people for sociable meals. There is also a counter with two bar stools, providing additional space for a quick coffee. From here you can see the brand new kitchen unit, equipped with all the essentials, including a dishwasher, a convection oven and a microwave. After an exciting day, he 180 x 200cm box spring bed in the separate bedroom awaits you, ideal for gathering energy for a great new holiday day. The wardrobe has many coat hangers. A new travel bed and a highchair are available for our youngest guests.

Enjoy the fresh air and the sun on the generous terrace, accessed directly from the living room. You can take a nap in the canopy beach chair or dine outdoors. The apartment has its own parking space and in addition you can park in front of the house on a side lane and a car park opposite.

Pets are allowed to enjoy the holiday with their family. You can go on trips on the bicycles for use free of charge. It is possible to hire further bicycles from our caretaker for a fee. We are happy to assist with any queries.

You can buy bread rolls from April to October at the little bistro right next door, as well as little snacks or homemade cake. You can set out on a walk on the embankment right opposite the house. It is about 800 metres to the monitored beach, including a nudist section and a dog section.

    “Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.Es ist gemütlich und mit Geschmack eingerichtet.
    Für uns ist die Wohnung nicht Rollstuhlgerecht.Es fehlte ein Haltegriff an der Toilette, der Flur war sehr eng Schwelle zur Terasse und un der Dusche macht das Leben nicht leichter.Für die Wohnung würde ich 4 Häuser vergeben, für die Rollstuhlgerechtigkeit allerdings nur 3.”

Ihre Anfrage im Vorfeld der Buchung bezog sich lediglich darauf, ob die Wohnung ebenerdig und barrierefrei zu erreichen sei. Dies ist der Fall. Die Dinge, die Sie bemängeln, wurden nicht nachgefragt. Eine konkretere Fragestellung Ihrerseits wäre hier zielführend gewesen. Es wäre sicherlich auch sinnvoll, bei künftigen Buchungen darauf zu achten, dass die zu suchende Wohnung als behindertengerecht ausgewiesen ist.     “Es war alles super sauber und gut vorbereitet. Auch unsere beiden kleinen Hunde haben sich wohlgefühlt und es war für 2 Personen und die beiden Hunde super geräumig. Die Ausstattung war sehr gepflegt und es fehlte uns an nichts.”

    “Sehr schöne gemütlich eigerrichtete Wohnung. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Alles vorhanden um einen schönen Urlaub zu verbringen. Die Wohnung war sauber.
    Wir waren mit unserem Hund unterwegs und in der Wohnung war für den Vierbeiner alles da was er brauchte. Und liebevoll hergerichtet.
    Ich kann diese Wohnung nur weiter empfehlen. Und ich würde auch nochmal hinfahren.”
