The cathedral with sophisticated antique shops is located just 15 minutes away, in the city. Museums are the main attractions in this region. History comes alive in the Provincial Museum of Denmark, which is in the old town, with 75 historical buildings. ARoS Art Museum exhibits art collections of international standing. Danish Poster Museum has impressive collections of posters from all over the world. Danish Women Museum has a world-wide documentation of the lives and work of Danish women until recent times. You can find extensive beech forests with mighty roots extending till the beach. The region offers beautiful views and hiking trails. Marseligsborg Palace is also located here. The palace park is open to public when the Royal Family is not staying in the summer residence. Moesgaard Museum is located on the edge of a forest in a naturally wonderful location, where you can explore the history of Denmark from the Stone Age to the Viking Era. You can also take a look at the 2000 old cadaver of Grauballe Man.
