Blåvand is a good choice for those who want a taste of the real North Sea. Backed by spectacular sand dunes and moorlands of outstanding beauty, the impressive white sandy beach stretches as far the eye can see. The area is so popular with red deer that it has become home to the largest herd in the country. Artists and craftsmen are also attracted to the area and you can watch many of them at work in their studios and workshops. Whatever the season Blåvand offers activity holidays for the whole family with a wide range of facilities and attractions on offer. Legoland is only about 1 hours drive away, and Esbjerg with its Fisheries and Maritime Museum and bustling harbour can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
