Nice House in Anjum with Large Terrace and Lake Views

The house on the harbor has a beautiful view over the Lauwersmeer. Well behaved dogs are welcome. You can park your car in front of the house.

You can park your car in front of the house.The house with a living space of approx. 60 m² has two bedrooms, 4 sleeps. In one bedroom is a full bed with two mattresses. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a kitchenette with a dishwasher and Nespresso. The living room is at most 10 m from the shore and has a beautiful view over the harbor. There is a bathroom with toilet and shower. The wood burning stove is free to use, and gives a great atmosphere. The large terrace is surrounded by glass. The Lauwersmeer is a paradise for anglers and water sports enthusiasts of all kinds. 


There is (de) Sat. tv and (nl) Kabel tv.



Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.


The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.


Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘De Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here. 


In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.

Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.


To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘Omaho’, next to the small marina.


A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well. 


The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel. At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.


Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands. Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.


Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house. Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night. With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places. Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark!

    “Leider ist das Grundstück nicht komplett umzäunt (unsere Hündin fand recht schnell einen Weg zum nachbarn). Desweiteren ist entgegen der Beschreibung kein Bsckofenin der Ferienwohnung. Der vorort Serviceder Familie Jeske war außergewöhnlich gut und sehr freundlich. Ausser den beiden angegebenen Mankos hat es uns sehr gut gefallen,also aus der Beschreibung rausnehmen und gut.”

    “Mooie ligging, rustig met uitzicht op de haven.
    Echter onderhoud, huisje en tuin laat te wensen over.
    Nagenoeg geen warm water en douche werkte niet.”

    “Lage und Ausstattung sind wirklich gut. Bei den vorhanden "Goodies" (Fliegengitter, Gartenmöbel, Gardienen, Bedienung und Gängigkeit der Fenster und der Zustand desEingangsbereiches) könnte etwas Pfeleg und Wartung angebracht sein.
    Desweieteren sind die Hilfsmittel zum Reinigen der Unterkunft während des Aufenthalten optimierbar (Staubsauger, Wischer).”

    “Leider wurde hier am Inventar gespart,also Töpfe waren schon vorhanden aber leider nur in Eiertopf Format+ein 11l Topf.So wie Schüssel und KaffeKanne die nicht sofort auseinander brösseln, wären schon sehr schön gewesen. Die MoskitoRrollos waren schon sehr abgerantztStühle auf die man nicht sitzten mag weil mann Angst haben muß das sie zusammen brechen! .Der viel gepriesene Anlege-Steg ist sehr instabil und zugewachsen,eine Erwachsene Person hat schon ein mullmiges Gefühl auf dem Steg.Was auch nicht sehr schön ist, die Diesel-Tankstelle die in unmittelbarer nähe steht. Je nach Windrichtung gibts einen sehr pennedranten Geruch !Mann wird leider nicht in der Beschreibung drauf hingewiesen Schade.Ansonnsten die Betten waren bequem und Sauber sowie das Badezimmer .Ein Fahrrad wäre nicht schlecht .”

    “Leider haben die Gäste uns erst bei der Abreise auf diese Dinge hingewiesen. Natürlich ist für eine ausgebildete Köchin eine Küche in einem Ferienhaus nie ausreichend bestückt. Es ist am gleiche Tag noch eine neue Thermoskanne ein 7l und ein 11l Topf ins Haus gestellt worden, obwohl es nur ein 4 Personen Haus ist. Die Stühle am Tisch waren tatsächlich nur bis 100 kg geeignet, Jetzt sind dort Stühle die bis 150 kg geeignet sind. Der Steg ist auch schon verstärkt und verbreitert worden. Die 250 Meter entfernte "Dieseltankstelle" ist seit 2015 nicht mehr in Betrieb. Wir haben einen sehr guten und günstigen Fahrradverleih im Dorf.”
