Holiday House in Níjar with Private Parking and Mountain View

The Molino los Arcos Finca is a completely renovated, Andalusian water mill, which is located away from mass tourism. The mill belongs to a land, about three hectares of size, 615 m above sea level. Well isolated against the heat and cold, the detached holiday house with about 140 sq. m of living space offers three bedrooms, a spacious, open-plan kitchen with view of the terrace, a bathroom with shower, a bathroom with bathtub, two patios, and a large living space, which is cosily equipped. There is a large dining table seating the whole family and a cosy sitting area. A semi-circular door separates the bedroom in the back of the holiday house and the living space. In front of the holiday house there is a covered terrace with a masoned settee among other things. After sunset, it is also a superb place to breathe deeply and relax under the clear starry sky. Beaches: In a 25-km distance, there is the Cabo de Gata Nature Park with unspoilt, wonderful beaches (Here the Adventures of Baron Munchausen movie and scenes of Indiana Jones were filmed). From 01 May until 30 September, the swimming pool is available. The Finca is a perfect starting point for mountain bike tours in the Sierra Alhamilla. In a 40-km distance, there is the Circuito de Almeria motorcycle racetrack. About 4 km away from Tabernas, it is an ideal place to ride a motor bike. Almeria is a typically Spanish racetrack. The gravel beds and run-off areas were fully refurbished in 2007, so that they now meet the standards of Grand Prix racetracks. During the winter months, the German elite drivers encounter here for testing.


The Cortijo is situated in the quiet Sierra Alhamilla valley. Here, there is no car traffic. You`ll reach the holiday house through an about 5-km, winding, but well enlarged, little pass road. The last 500 m are not asphaltic, but unproblematic to drive. Parking space for one car is directly in front of the house. The only noise you`ll hear are the chirping of crickets and the whooshing of the old water channel, coming from a mountain spring of the about 15-minutes by foot distant Huebro mountain village. In close proximity to the mill, a hiking path leads you directly to the small Huebro mountain village, where you can eat superb paella in a typical Spanish restaurant. The small Nijar town with all its shopping and supply facilities you`ll reach in 10 minutes by car. Another activity represents the Circuito de Almeria motorcycle racetrack.

    “Het vakantiehuis is robuust, interessant en heeft verrassingen door de aanwezigheid van twee patio's. Een prettige inrichting en voelde direct vertrouwd aan. Alleen de keuken lijkt niet helemaal in de sfeer van de rest van de inrichting te zijn gedaan hoewel de voorzieningen op zich er allemaal wel zijn, alleen minder fraai of passend bij de rest van het interieur.

    Wij waren zeer geïnteresseerd in het verleden van de locatie, een ouder watermolen, en hadden het erg leuk gevonden als er van de oorspronkelijke situatie nog een afbeelding, tekening of schilderij was geweest. Ook om de oorspronkelijke constructie beter te kunnen begrijpen was dat interessant geweest.”
