A unique 800 years old historical property situated on the first line of Lake Como in the romantic, authentic and historic village of Rezzonico. The house is located only few steps from 2 small beaches and next to the castle. The view from all the rooms is breathtaking to the lake, mountains and famous Mennagio and Bellagio.The place is very quiet, away from the traffic and tourist crowds. Parking space is available in the village. High speed Wi-Fi available.The house has 3 levels:Entrance level has a fully-equipped kitchen and living room with a dining table for up to 8 people and sofa bed. Second level includes a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a big loft with a queen-size sofa bed. There is a nice bathroom on this level.Level -1 has another small bedroom with an open fire and single bed as well as with access to a small patio.The house has been newly renovated in 2013.The village of Rezzonico is built on a rock, nestled up against the stone. Please be aware, there is no access to the house by car. To reach the house, you must leave your car at the top of the village and walk through a narrow cobbled street and down 30 steps to the house (approximately 200 metres). The path can be slippery when wet, so this property is not suitable for anyone with walking problems.In the pretty hamlet of Rezzonico you will find a pizzeria and a very small grocery shop. Rezzonico has a bus stop.Water sports facilities (boating, sailing, surfing) can be found nearby, and there are scenic trekking routes that begin at the lake. There are also many fine and beautiful golf courses in the lake area, and shoppers will love the designer fashion factory outlets available just over the border into Switzerland.The closest lake ferry dock is in Menaggio, just 6 km south, where you will also find a golf course and tennis court. Switzerland and Europe's highest mountains lie just to the north. A drive (or boat ride) down the lake brings you to Como (40 km), famous for its production of fine silk. Elegance surrounds you in Como: beautiful architecture, elegant shops and stylish, wood-panelled cafés. Visit Bellagio (15 km by ferry), known as the pearl of the lake and considered one of the most beautiful towns in all of Europe. Day trips can be made by bus or car to Tremezzo (12 km) and Lugano, Switzerland (33 km).
