After a short flat stretch, you can reach the cycle path along the Saar, the distance to Saarburg is approx. 5 km, Konz at the mouth of the Saar with access to the Moselle cycle path is just a little further away - so Trier is also easy to reach from Schoden. Alternatively, you can get to many destinations in the Saar and Moselle valleys from the nearby train station. The lower Saar valley also offers many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in a charming and varied landscape.
