There are plenty of signposted cycling and hiking trails and motorcyclists will also get their money's worth in this area. If you are already in the vicinity, it is also worth a trip to the Brocken, which shines in a new charm at any time of the year. From here you have a wonderful view of the former border area and this beautiful low mountain region.
