Vimmerby is a nice community where you will meet the Smaland nature, rich in forests, lakes, meadows, winding country roads, red houses and barns ? like in a story by Astrid Lindgren. Visit the author's childhood home or discover the history of the area in the alleys and cobbled streets of the old town center around the marketplace of the lively small town with culture, trade and entertainment. There are also famous products and exciting experiences in the surroundings of Vimmerby: Frödinge is where the famous and delicious cheesecake is made, and on the outskirts of the city is the family brewery ÅBRO. In the countryside, you can kiss moose, ride a cable car and climb in the treetops, admire a unique collection of motorcycles, play and lounge in an indoor playground, or enjoy the tranquility of a museum or one of Vimmerby's parks.
