Explore this elongated island. Because Öland is so flat, it is considered the perfect island for cycling. The island is so narrow that you can cycle to the sea from anywhere on the island! The Mörbylånga valley is one of Sweden's most fertile farming areas and is perfect for hiking and cycling. The limestone plain, Stora Alvaret, offers you unique nature, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also visit the windmills at Lerkaka and the ruins of Gråborg and Lenstad Borg. If you want to experience more, simply cross the six-kilometer bridge to Kalmar or take the bicycle and passenger ferry, Dessi.
