Experience the incomparable landscape on foot, by bike or from a boat. Jump into the cool water and linger over a game of Uno on the small terrace in the late afternoon before going out in the evening.
Öland definitely offers variety: swim in beautiful Kalmarsund or in the open sea, visit the haunting castle, Borgholm, admire the charming summer castle, Solliden of the Swedish royal family and ride the 40 km long bike trail in the Böda Ecopark. Because Öland is so flat, Öland is considered the perfect cycling island. The island is so narrow that you can make it to the sea by bike from anywhere on the island! Likewise, don't forget to visit both Sweden's highest lighthouse and the vast World Heritage limestone expanse and heath landscape, Stora Alvaret. Also, cross the six-kilometer bridge to Kalmar.
