Historical towns such as Quedlinburg and Halberstadt or the imperial city of Goslar are also easy to reach by car. The Harz Mountains also offer a wealth of opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts, whether your heart beats for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing or tobogganing.
