The charming fishing village of Barfleur also tells a bloody story with its famous naval battle. Cherbourg has a maritime museum and a harbor with a view of the popular artificial roadstead. On the other side of the peninsula, you can cross over to the Anglo-Norman islands of Jersey and Guernesey.
