In Montélimar, you can go shopping, stroll through the historic old town, visit the Chateau des Adhémar, the Miniature Museum and the Museum of the Palace of Sweets. If you fancy a change of scenery, you can plan a trip to the botanical village of Grignan, dominated by its remarkable Renaisance castle. You can also visit the craft village of Dieulefit, a stronghold of pottery, and the abbey of Aiguebelle. The high-altitude villages such as Puygiron, Mirmande Cliousclat and Marsanne, which are among the most beautiful in France, are also well worth a visit. Look forward to the crocodile farm in Pierrelatte, the animal park in Lussas or the bird park in Upie. In the surrounding area, on the Ardèche side, you can cross the remarkable gorges of the Ardèche with its famous Pont d'Arc bridge and its numerous fabulous caves, such as Aven d'Orgnac, Chauvet or Cocalière. On the Vaucluse side, you will find the majestic Mont Vetoux, the peaks of Montmirail and the ancient town of Vaison la Romaine, famous for its Provençal markets.
