Southern Fyn and Langeland are two of Denmark's most attractive regions, especially for those who enjoy the great outdoors. This area boasts many child friendly beaches with clear blue water that are ideal for a wide range of family activities. The attractive countryside is well suited to long walks and cycling trips, and the region also boasts good fishing opportunities - both in the sea and the numerous 'put and take' lakes. Popular activities include sailing trips on the historic wooden ships that ply the southern Fyn archipelago, which can last from two to six hours. Also well worth a visit are Valdemars Castle on the island of Tåsinge, and the charming town of Rudkøbing with its picturesque buildings, public squares and narrow cobbled streets.
