On the nearby hills there are other medieval towns and villages such as Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence and Chianti, all within easy access.
These apartments, with their various typologies, can accommodate 2 to 6 people. They are comfortable and furnished with old-fashioned, traditional Tuscan furniture. Each apartment has its own heating, a bathroom with a shower, and a big, fully-equipped kitchen. The apartments have been renovated in the traditional style of local architecture. So on the ground floor the old food troughs and vaulted ceilings have been preserved, while the apartments on the first floor have wooden beamed ceilings. There is a big communal room on the ground floor, along with a charming living room with a fireplace. There is a reading corner on the first floor.
The farmhouse is on an extensive country estate with a swimming pool, a view of the hills of Volterra and the 8-hectare lake, where you can go fishing. Please bring your own fishing equipment. There are wooden tables outside, made of oil pressing mills, as well as table tennis tables, a boccia alley and a playground for children. There is also a new football ground. Pets are not allowed during high season.
The landscape invites you to go on hiking and mountain biking trips. You can hire mountain bikes. Nearby there are also other leisure activities available, such as golf, tennis, riding, wine and olive oil tasting and a club for scenic flights.
