This lovely holiday cottage is great for exploring Lofoten. The house is situated by itself in a quiet area by the town Valberg. While the rest of Lofoten is dominated by high, rugged mountains, this area is open, facing the large Vestfjorden. From the bench above the house, enjoy your morning coffee with the sunrise in the east and a stunning view of the mountains and the fishing village Henningsvær. You can watch the Hurtigruten cruise ships passing 4 times a day further out in the ocean. A great hiking terrain makes this place ideal for families with children. Walk along the sea with its shallow waters and several idyllic sandy beaches. The ocean is rich with fish and you can either do inshore fishing or rent a boat nearby. Follow the old hiking trails in the mountain and enjoy the view of Lofoten on the top. Afterwards, have a relaxing bath in the bath barrel in the garden of the house. The house is charmingly furnished and both the kitchen and the living room has a wood-burning stove. This is a great starting point for day excursions with car around Lofoten. Visit fishing villages, an aquarium and a golf course nearby. Day trips by bike is also recommended. On Gimsøya in the west, experience the midnight sun on clear spring and summer nights.
NB: The beds on the 2nd floor are shorter than normal. The double bed is 192 cm, one single bed is 185 cm and the other single bed is 190 cm. The bedroom on the first floor has a TV with a sofa bed, 120 cm wide. Because of the mountains, the TV-signals can change. 4 bikes at your disposal, but there is no guarantee that they are fully functional.
