Comfortable country house in a quiet location with a wonderful pergola and a view as far as the coast
The little country house is in the historical little 18th-century village Pieve a Elici, part of Massarosa. It is very quietly situated and offers a view as far as the coast.
It is on two floors and is suitable for a maximum of four people. Owing to the terracotta floors and wooden ceiling beams, it exudes the flair of past times. The ground floor has a generous living room-kitchen with a very cosy atmosphere. It has a dining table and a sofa bed for two people. The brick-built cooking niche is equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. Stairs lead to the upper floor with the bedroom, furnished with a pretty rustic cupboard and a romantic cast-iron double bed (160 x 190cm). Next to it there is a bathroom with a shower, WC and bidet. The fireplace can be used and firewood can be purchased locally. The house has heating, so it is also ideal for a holiday outside of the summer season, but there is no air conditioning and no Internet access. There is a TV with Italian DVBT channels.
There are chairs and a table under the pergola about 10 metres away, as well as a canopy swing. It is perfect for dining outdoors or simply relaxing and enjoying the shade. A grill is available for pleasant evenings. Below there is a little garden with a gazebo and a further sitting area. It is about 100 metres to a public car park. You can stop about 20 metres away to unload or load the car.
It is recommended to have your own car. On the opposite side of the road there is a second property that belongs to the same owner. Guests at both holiday houses share use of a washing machine in a laundry room next to the pergola.
Lucca is just a 15-minute drive away, Florence an hour. The wonderful beaches of Viareggio and Versilia, as well as the historical old town centre of Pisa are nearby. You can do shopping 1km away and the nearest restaurant is 3.5km away. It is not far from the house to the Apuan Alps, where you can go walking and hiking.
