You can travel along north and south of the coast. Visit Visby to experience a medieval hanseatic city. This ancient town is in one of the best preserved areas in Scandinavia. Visby is well-known for its roses and ruins, where you can enjoy the medieval facades and admire the climber roses. Various varieties of roses are cultivated in the botanical garden. Guests who are interested in herbs can explore the herb garden in Örtagård. There is a hill temple with a gazebo, which provides a backdrop for many bridal couples. Inside the perimeter wall of Visby, there is a church that was built in 12th and 13th centuries, the Golden Age of Visby. You can visit most of the ruins in summer. Other tourist destinations in this region are Lummelunda Caves, Krusmyntagården and Muramaris.
