Bushvilla Umoja Kruger - wildlife without fences: enjoy the tranquility of the African bush, while impalas, waterbucks, warthogs visit the garden or the occasional giraffe or elephant come to have a drink from the waterhole. This beautiful Bushvilla, (134m2) the ultimate place for nature lovers, is located in the northeast of South Africa, in one of the most beautiful parts, the province of Limpopo. It is bordering the Kruger park, on the outskirts of Phalaborwa - the city of 2 summers. Phalaborwa is so called because of the year-round sunny weather . Summers (November-January) are warm and humid and winters (June-August) are sunny, with pleasant temperatures and cool nights. The villa is located on a resort in a nature reserve in the middle of the bush. Directly adjacent to and separated by a fence of world renowned Kruger National Park. In addition to a private splash pool that this spacious luxuriously furnished house offers you, there is an additional swimming pool, a simple tennis court and a watchtower over the Kruger park for the residents and their guests. Linen, towels, basic herbs/oils, hotel amenities and check-in/-out housecleaning are included. Stays >4ngts have an additional housecleaning every 3rd/4th day and extra housecleanings may be optional at an additional fee. The owner can be reached 24/7 and can assist with bookings of excursions and the house manager is available as well. This unique holiday home is located at approximately 8 kilometer from the Kruger park entrance and Phalaborwa. Phalaborwa is a small mining town known for his direct access point to the Kruger park and has several restaurants, multiple supermarkets, shops and a golf course. 

Umoja Kruger is built in authentic African style with a large wrap-around terrace with overhanging thatched roof, offering the optimal indoor-outdoor lifestyle where the outdoor space flows seamlessly into the indoor space. The terrace has several semi-private seating areas with each different views and is therefore suitable for (blended) families or a group of friends/travellers. On the main terrace you will find the splash pool and a barbeque overlooking two watering holes where the animals regularly come to drink. A prolific birdlife where more than 150 different bird species have been counted, will also spoil the bird lovers. From the moment you arrive you will experience the real African bush feeling so don’t be surprised to find impala or waterbucks spending the night in the garden.

The tasteful decorated modern living room has a comfortable sitting area, a flat-screen TV with DSTV and media box. There is free Wifi. Through the large gass slidingdoors with direct access to the main terrace you have a beautiful view over the bush. The wrap-around terrace, is set up as an extension of the house and offers multiple seating and viewpoints. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double-door fridge with filtered water and ice dispenser, a gas stove with five burners and oven, a microwave, dishwasher, tea cooker and a coffee maker. There is a large dining table for 8 people. The semi-open kitchen forms part of the living area. From the kitchen you exit to a side area of the terrace with a nice seating area to enjoy the birds in the birdbath.

The entire house is air- conditioned and has ceiling fans.

There are three large bedrooms, each for two people with all identically en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets over the beds and windowscreens, air conditioning and ceiling fans.

The main bedroom, adjacent to the living room, has a king size bed, the en-suite bathroom in typical African style, with separate bath and shower, toilet, and double vanity. A hairdryer, towels and hotel amenities are provided. The bedroom has a view of the waterhole via doors leading to a side terrace where you will find a simple outdoor shower and leadint to the main terrace. The second bedroom, adjacent to the kitchen, has two large singles set as a double and overlooks a side garden via doors giving access to a different side of the terrace leadng to the kitchen terrace. The third, smaller bedroom has two smaller single beds and doors leading to a larger semi-private sunny terrace with a comfortable lounge set and has views of the Kruger park at the horizon.

On the main terrace there is a stone barbecue with views over the bush and waterhole and a small swimming pool. Two pool loungers, an umbrella and two pool chairs are there for your comfort.

The large garden, only 100 meters from the Kruger park fence, offers privacy and attracts birds, butterflies and animals (large and small). The animals roam freely by their own choice and there is an absolute no-feeding policy so they are wild (Kruger) animals. A covered carport offers space to two vehicles. There is no washing machine available however you can use the paid laundry service. Breakfast is optional and upon request a ready-to-use meal package can be arragned (BBQ or Lasagne meal, vegetarian option possible).

The location of the villa is excellent to visit many South African tourist highlights. You obviously come here to visit the Kruger National Park (self drive or we can arrange a guided safari). You can also go on a sunset safari boat cruise on the Olifants River, visit the Hoedspruit sanctuaries, do the Blyde Canyon boat cruise, take a daytrip along the world-famous Panorama Route with Bourke's Luck Potholes, visit the giant Baobap or go ziplining at Tzaneen while visiting the Magoebaskloof and enjoy a picnic at the Debengeni falls – all at max 1.5 hrs drive from Umoja.

Umoja Kruger is located approx. 500km from Johanneburg; you can drive via Polokwane/Tzaneen, or Dullstroom/Lydenburg/Abel Erasmus pass. There are daily flights to Hoedspruit Airport (also from Hoedspruit to Capetown) which is about an hour away from Phalaborwa. And for a special trip: a trip with your own ranger in a 4x4 through the Kruger Park – Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park (Mozambique) to the coast near Mozambique and back with a few days start a/o end at Umoja.
