Elegant country house with a garden, terrace and pool, between the mountains and the sea

The holiday house, a former farmhouse, is surrounded by fields, vineyards and olive groves, and is at the foot of the medieval mountain village of San Giovanni a Piro in the south of Italy.

The 500m² country house from the 17th century is comfortably furnished and can accommodate up to 15 people. There are seven bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with a double bed and one with two single beds that can also be joined together. The first floor also has two bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds that can be joined together, along with a smaller bedroom with a double bed. All the ground-floor and first-floor bathrooms comprise a shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The second floor with a separate entrance has a big bedroom with a double bed, two single beds that can be joined together and another single bed, and another big bedroom with a double bed and two single beds that can be joined together. The big bathrooms each have a bath, shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet. A cot and two supplementary beds can be provided. There is a spacious living and dining room on the ground floor with a fireplace, a piano, a sofa suite and a big dining table with chairs. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all modern appliances. There are two additional bathrooms here. Wireless Internet access is available.

There is a pool on the extensive site with deckchairs and various spots with seating and shade, for sunbathing and relaxing. There are hammocks between the trees. Plenty of parking space is available.

The wild and rural property is practically self-sufficient with regard to food, wine, water and energy. The farm has a vegetable garden, as well as orchards, and guests are welcome to sample the ham, olive oil and wine. Staff does cleaning in the morning and prepare breakfast and picnic baskets. A cook and additional personnel are available for preparing meals.

There are restaurants and shopping facilities in the village. Five kilometres away there is the charming little village of Scario with a harbour, where you can hire a boat and go on a trip along the pristine coast.
