    “Der nächstgrößere Ort Barga ist ein kleines verschlafenes Nest, mit einem kleinen Supermarkt (Mittagspause bis 17 Uhr) und Markttag am Samstagmorgen. Ein paar Restaurants befinden sich dort auch. Fahrtzeit vom Haus nach Barga ca. 25 Minuten. Ein richtig großer Supermarkt befindet sich in Gallicano. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Rifugio oberhalb des Hauses. Leckere Hausmannskost von zwei sehr netten jungen Leuten zubereitet, und den besten Hauswein weit und breit... auch abfüllen und mitnehmen ist auf Anfrage möglich.”
