    “Fondotoce ist ein sehr kleiner Ort, der nicht so viel zu bieten hat.
    In der Nähe gab es ein sehr leckeres Eisgeschäft und einige Restaurants. Sonst benötigt man für alles ein Auto - für Fußgänger sind italienische Straßen scheinbar nicht unbedingt ausgerichtet. In ca 10 Minuten Richtung Intra gibt es einen LIDL - Richtung Stresa einen anderen Supermarkt.
    Die Lage bei Verbania/Intra mit der Schiffanlegestelle ist sehr gut. Für Ausflüge Richtung Norden (Ascona/Locarno/Verzasca-Tal) oder nach Süden (Comer See/Ortasee/Mailand) ist die Lage perfekt. Es gibt rund um den See schöne idyllische kleine Städtchen zu entdecken. Auch eine Fahrt mit der Panorama-Bahn von Domodossola nach Locarno ist empfehlenswert.
    Leider war die Gegend um Fondotoce nicht geeignet für unsere geplanten Wanderungen. Die Wanderwege sind nicht sehr gut beschildert und teilweise sehr schwer begehbar.
    So haben wir uns vor allem der Umgebung des herrlichen Lago Maggiores gewidmet.”

    Auswahl an schoenen Restaurants und Cafes. Besonders gut hat uns Intra-Verbania
    gefallen, mit seiner schoenen Promenade und einer huebschen kleinen Altstadt.”
