    “In Porto zelf kan je gebruik maken van de metro. Een bezoek aan de overdekte markt (Bolhao) en het voetbalstadion is zeker de moeite waard. We bezochten ook Aveiro (met mooie kanaaltjes door de stad waar je met een bootje op kan varen), Guimaraes (mooi kasteel), Braga en Matosinhos (veel visrestaurantjes).

    In Miramar zelf is er een goede bakker en zijn er kleine supermercados waar je alles kan kopen. 3 kilometer verderop is er ook een Lidl. Verder zijn er veel snackbars. Wij hebben vooral 's middags warm gegeten in restaurantjes buiten Miramar. 's Avonds eten de Portugezen vrij laat (rond 20u) en de meeste restaurantjes zijn om 18u nog niet open. Uit eten gaan was niet duur. Een fles water van 1.5 liter kostte bijvoorbeeld 2 €.”

    “Gulpilhares ist ein Ort, den wir mit dem Mietwagen von Lissabon aus anfuhren. Lissabon wegen der besseren und häufigeren Flugverbindung nach Deutschland. Man fährt gut 3 bis 4 Stunden über die Autobahn A1, die längst nicht so voll ist wie in Deutschland. Wer Porto besuchen will - und da gibt es viel zu sehen - ist mit der S-Bahnanbindung von Gulpilhares bestens bedient. Man fährt 20 Minuten und ist im Zentrum von Porto. Kein Parkstress, das Auto bleibt in der Garage. Familien mit Kindern bietet der Ort einen tollen Strand, aber das Wasser des Atlantiks ist schon frisch.”

    “La localité est idéalement située pour organiser des excursion vers Porto, Coimbra et la vallée du Douro. C'est une petite station balnéaire calme que nous avons découvert hors saison (quelques restaurants étaient fermés). La localité dispose d'une gare qui permet de rejoindre Porto rapidement”
