    “Monterotondo ist ein kleiner netter Ort, mit Lebensmittelläden, Bank, Tankstelle, Post und Touristeninfo. Nächste grössere und tourist. orientierte Stadt ist Massa, ca 20 Autominuten entfernt. Für das Meer, archäologische Parks, Naturreservate muss man ca 60 Minuten fahren - die Entfernung ist zwar in km. gering, aber die Strassen sind kurvenreich. Daher dauert es auch in die grossen Städte (Siena, San Gimignano ...) immer mehr als eine Stunde. Das ist aber alles okay, denn Monterotondo bietet einem eben ländliche Abgeschiedenheit, die man in Blicknähe zum Meer oder den Städten ja nicht hätte. Also waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Lage. Bei der Anfahrt erschrickt man vielleicht über die geothermischen Anlagen, aber im Ferienhaus und auch sonst stören die gar nicht.”
