“Der Ort Sotkamo und die angrenzende Gemeinde Voukattti bieten alles was man für einen ruhigen, oder auch sportlichen Aufenthalt braucht. Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Tankstellen gibt es genug und wer gerne Skilanglauf betreibt wird voll auf seine Kosten kommen. Auf den Seen gibt es kilometerlange gespurte Loipen für Klassisch- und Skating-Stil. Aber auch für Alpin-Fahrer , Skispringer (!) und Trickskifahrer ist gesorgt. Trotzdem bleibt das ganze ruhig und beschaulich und ist nicht mit dem Massenbetrieb alpiner Skiorte zu vergleichen.”
