    “Valderice, is a quaint town and well situated. You are well situated to go to some stunning areas in Sicily, but you do need your own transport.
    At the weekend the local residents congregate in the town square opposite the church and there is a DJ or band preforming and they dance. This involves all the age groups.
    The local beaches are rocky or pebbly, but there are a couple of local sandy ones. If you go to the well know sandy beaches they are crowded. So it is good to bring out the explorer in you and check the local area.
    Erice is ten minutes away and is a nice place to visit for a day, afternoon or evening. I would travel up there by cable car , although you can drive and park up there, simply for the stunning views.
    Valderice is reasonably priced in the restaurants, cafes and bars, but as you go the the coastal towns such as Trapani then it becomes expensive.”

    “Valderice selbst ist kein Urlaubsort. Man kann von dort aus aber gut Ausflüge zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten im Westen der Insel machen. Man hat einen schönen Blick auf die idyllische Küste, jedoch sind dort keine Strände vor Ort. Es gibt in Valderice Supermärkte mittlerer Größe, genügend Tankstellen und Geldautomaten. Ansonsten ist die Provinzhauptstadt Trapani nicht weit entfernt.”
