    “Vecchiano zelf is een kleine plaats waar weinig gebeurd . Een paar winkeltjes en een supermarkt. Maar het huis ligt wel dicht bij Pisa en de zee op 15 km. Wat nog genoemd moet worden is dat de weg de berg op naar het huis NIET met een normale auto kan worden bereikt omdat er grote stenen uitsteken. Onze auto moest voor 1500 euro worden gerepareerd omdat de uitlaat compleet gedeukt en gescheurd was en er bij de garage stenen uitvielen! Wij reden in een Alfa Romeo . Onze Dacia Duster kon wel de berg oprijden”
