Holiday Residence between the picturesque coastal village Orosei and the sand beach and cristall blue water
The managers of the Holiday Residence Rifugio are the Swiss couple Matthias and Irene Winkler. They live in Orosei, Sardinia, since August 2001. The apartments are built with first class materials and are attractively furnished, with TV, telephone, WiFi internet connection, cooling and heating facilities. Since 2013 we have a pool of 70m3. 6.12.19 After an official inspection our residential pool has been unexpectedly closed. It is currently out of order and the constructor needs to apply some adjustments. We assume that the permit to fix the pool will arrive within this year so that it will be again available until May 2020. The Rifugio is an ideal place for people who like to relax in beautiful surroundings near the sea and the mountains but also appreciate being close to a typical Mediterranean holiday resort. Orosei is a picturesque coastal village situated about an hour’s drive south of Olbia (port and airport). The nearest beach is about one and a half kilometres away. It is a 12 km long stretch of fine sand along a coastline that is full of natural beauty. Restaurants, cafés and shops are within easy walking distance (one to five minutes).
The Gulf of Orosei is said to be one of the most interesting holiday areas in Sardinia. It is most famous for its multi-shaped sandy shores along the coastline, its small coves with dreamy wetlands in the background, but also for its charming mountain regions with their picturesque villages and imposing gorges (see also ‘Activities and Beaches’). For those who have an interest in history Sardinia has a wealth of archaeological sites that show clear, tangible evidence of its ancient past civilizations.
Surrounded by beautiful beaches, canyons and mountains The Gulf of Orosei with its natural resorts “Su Barone” and “Bidderosa” is known as one of the most interesting holiday areas in Sardinia. It is most famous for its multi-shaped sandy shores along the coastline, its small coves with dreamy wetlands in the background, but also for its charming mountain regions with their picturesque villages and imposing gorges. The stunning beaches are among the most beautiful and cleanest in Europe (Caribbean feelings!). Other recreational possibilities are diving, canoeing, trekking, fishing, boat expeditions, archeological tours, horse riding, biking, climbing, quad tours, expeditions into the wild countryside of the island and wine tastings.

3-room apartment (70m²) on second floor with 14m² veranda. Description: One bedroom with double bed, 2 shower units with WC, living area with kitchenette and sofa bed, one twin bed room, veranda with splendid view onto exotic garden. Furnishings/kitchen equipment: Crockery/cutlery, general kitchen-ware and utensils, fridge, freezer compartment, cooker, air-conditioning. TV and internet on request. Special facilities for children (cradle, high chair). Shared washing machine. Attractively furnished rooms.
Swimming pool: Unfortunately, there have been some unpleasant news: On July 6th, 2020, we were informed by our condominium manager that due to the large delays on the remediation works for the pool caused by COVID-19 and the new restrictions from the authorities concerning the same, the swimming pool will stay closed this year. We are sorry for the invonvenience. Important information concerning Covid-19 As follows are the precautions COVID19 in Sardinia: a) Each guest must make a self-declaration. b) Wear masks inside supermarkets, in bars, hotels and restaurants. c) Keep social distancing d) Use the sanitizer in the entrance of our residence. Our Residence is an ideal place for people who like to relax in beautiful surroundings near the sea and the mountains but also appreciate being very close to a typical Mediterranean holiday resort. Orosei is a picturesque coastal village situated about an hour’s drive south of Olbia (port and airport). The residence is about 1,5 kilometer from the beach on the beautiful Golf of Orosei also known as Europe’s Caribbean. The nearest beach “Marina di Orosei” can be reached by car, bike or in a 20 minutes’ walk alongside the river “Cedrino”. Restaurants, cafés and shops are within easy walking distance from the Residence, all under a five minute walk.
