Little terraced house with a balcony and a terrace

This holiday house is in the countryside, in the village of Kostanje, near the town of Omiš.

The house consists of a ground floor and an upper floor. The ground floor has a kitchen with a dining space and a lounge with a TV. There is also a little guest WC on the ground floor. There are stairs from the ground floor up to the first floor, comprising a bedroom with a bathroom and a balcony. The bedroom is furnished with a big double bed (160 x 200cm) and a sofa bed (120 x 200cm).

There is a terrace outside. There is a little room in front of the house where you can lock bicycles away. The house has been renovated and consists of old stones, so the indoor temperature is very pleasant in summer and air conditioning is not required.

Kostanje is a very quiet village. You can relax here in the beautiful nature. The River Cetina flows through Kostanje and you can go rafting and swimming. You can recover from city stress in Kostanje and it is not far to the sea or to the towns of Omiš and Split. The roads through nature and the region are suitable for bicycle tours and walks.

    “Bij aankomst werden we opgewacht door de verhuurder bij de afrit van de snelweg om voor ons uit te rijden naar het huisje. We kregen uitleg hoe alles werkt en waar we alles konden vinden. Er stond water en wijn koud, en de kinderen kregen melk en koekjes.

    De verhuurder had kaarten van de omgeving en gaf adviezen waar en welk strand of bezienswaardigheid het beste was en wat de routes waren.

    Het huisje was goed schoon, alles was aanwezig en werkte ook. De wifi was perfect, tv ontvangst soms wat minder.

    Er is boven een grote slaapkamer met een ruim 2 persoons-bed en een linnenkast. De slaapbank stond ook boven, maar zou eventueel beneden geplaatst kunnen worden.

    Er is geen zitbank beneden, alleen eetkamerstoelen. Voor ons was dat geen probleem. De slaapbank is niet heel groot, tot een jaar of 8 kun je er 2 kinderen op kwijt.

    Mijn advies is een extra matras mee te nemen en de bank beneden te plaatsen.

    De ligging van het huisje is op een soort binnenplaats waar nog 2 andere woningen staan. 1 werd er nog verbouwd, de ander permanent bewoond door erg aardige mensen waar we diverse keren zelfgemaakte wijn en verschillende soorten groente en fruit van kregen die daar in tuintjes word verbouwd.

    Iedere morgen komt er een busje bij het huisje die vers brood verkoopt. De supermarkt is 10 minuten lopen, en is iedere dag open.

    Veel mensen spreken Engels of Duits.

    We voelde ons daar meer dan welkom, en gaan volgend jaar graag weer terug.”
